Certification for the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme
We can help you to achieve certification for the bronze, silver or gold standards of the scheme
Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS)
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary certification scheme aimed at ensuring that fleet operators work lawfully and to best practice by meeting the FORS standard.
The scheme allows access to a range of benefits and exclusive discounts which can offer real competitive advantage. Certification could help you tender for business, save you money, improve safety and reduce your environmental impact.
FORS can help you to stand out from the crowd and prove to current and prospective customers that you are an operator that works to standards over and above the legal minimum.
FORS is graduated into three levels - BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD, enabling you to demonstrate your progress through the FORS journey. To progress an operator must meet all the requirements of lower awards. Progression to silver and gold is not mandatory.
FORS Bronze Award - What are the requirements?
There are four key areas to this standard:
• Management • Vehicles • Drivers • Operations
Requirements are primarily based around:
• Legal compliance • Safety • Efficiency • Environmental protection
FORS Silver Award
The Silver Award demonstrates that the operator is committed to becoming safer, greener and more efficient. Silver requirements are based primarily around putting in place the systems for improvements. Silver FORS operators need to provide an annual submission of data to their certification body for review. They also need to maintain their bronze certification.
